We want to know how important free shipping is to our customers. This is our way to find out: for 4 days, June 7 through 10,  we'll ship your order absolutely free to Canada or the US, and for half price anywhere else.

 HALF PRICE Shipping - elsewhere
$250 minimum order. We apologize to our distant fans, but free shipping to other continents is pretty much impossible; international postal rates are often high and vary wildly. So half price shipping was the best we could do.

Simpler, fairer, and mostly lower.
We're adjusting our shipping rates on June 11^th.

Why the changes?

As we evolve and improve our new website, we do our best to keep shipping rates as affordable as possible for you while being workable for us. Our next adjustment is planned for June 11th and will make our rates simpler, fairer, and in most cases lower.

1. Consistent price break points.

There are unfortunately far too many factors involved – weight, size, distance, country - to make shipping rates completely simple

Here’s how we work it: as your order gets larger, we charge less shipping (or none at all)  - larger orders are more efficient for us, so we can pass  the savings on to you.

The current the price break points (where the rate drops) have been $150 / $250 / $350 for Canadian orders, but $200 / $200 / $400 for US. There’s no good reason for this inconsistency. So as of June 11:

• We’ll use the same $150, $250 and $350 price break points
  for both Canadian and US shipments. Fairer. Simpler.

2. The rates themselves

Our costs for US shipments are unavoidably higher than for Canada - actual shipping costs in the two countries are beyond our control.

But our current US rates ($25/$20/$20/free) are badly structured compared to the Canadian ones ($16/$8/$4/free).  Again, no good reason, so as of June 11:

• Our Canadian rates will adjust very slightly -
  currently $16/$8/$4/free; after June 11: $15/$10/$5/free. (see rate chart below)
  
  
• Our US rates will be lowered,  in some cases substantially -
  currently $25/$20/$20/free; after June 11:  $24/$18/$12/free.

So, after June 11, all our customers in Canada and the US will receive similar reductions and at the same price break points: ($150, $250 and $350). Fairer, simpler, mostly lower. 

3. Lower split shipment rates.

We’re also reducing the charge to split an order into 2 shipments (when part of your order is ready to ship while newer items are still expected from the supplier)

• Split shipments will be the same as the rate for exchanges (from $12 to $10 in Canada; both stay st $15 in US). Simpler. Lower (or same)
